Chronology of cameras Pentacon

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand

Its principal characteristic is that its prism is interchangeable. On the model below, it was replaced by a chest finder , equipped with a magnifying glass of focusing. It seems that this finder is rare. In my case, I have only this one and not the normal finder with prism. In spite of its age, it still functions. The shutter release makes a noise be made flee any animal with the round.

This camera belongs to the series of Praktica using the lenses screwing M42.

One often asks me what the logo of Pentacon represents. On the VLC, it is on the sole. This logo represents the Pentacon tower (of which the true name is Ernemann tower) which is in Dresden. Ernemann was one of the factories which formed the “combine” Pentacon after the second world war.
